Tens and Ones

Today we learnt about two digit numbers. This is the problem I had to sole and it was 8 tens and 3 ones. This is the symbol 80 + 3 = 83

Today I learnt about two digit numbers. This is the problem I had to solve 54 and it was 5 tens and 4 ones. This is the symbol 50 + 4 =  54.

Today we were learning about two digit numbers. This is the problem that I had to solve 7 tens and 6 ones. This is the symbol 70 + 6 = 76.

Today I learnt about two digit numbers. The problem I had to solve was 48 so there are 4 tens and 8 ones . This is the symbol 40 + 8 = 48

Today we have been learning about tens and ones. The problem I had to figure out was 21 and I did 2 tens and 1 ones. This is the symbol 20 + 1 = 21.

Whose artwork do you like the most?

I like Patrick’s artwork the most.

Why did you choose this person’s artwork?

I chose Patrick’s artwork because  his background colours are contrasting colours against his face.

What would you do next time to ensure your artwork is just as good?

I would not rush also I’d take my time with my background.

If you were going to give this person a rating out of ten what would you give it and why?

8/10 because I could see a few smudges but its great.

Andy Warhol Artwork Reflection

Reflecting on my Andy Warhol themed portrait

1. Are you pleased with your Andy Warhol themed portrait? why / why not?

Yes because there are no smudges and also my background colours are contrasting colours with my face.

2. What did you find easy when you created your portrait?

I found easy tracing around my face easy because when it came to dying you might smudge it.

3. What part did you find tricky when you were creating your portrait? -think about tracing round your face, outlining your face using a black marker pen, dabbing areas using the dye, dying the background.

I found when you dye your face its hard trying to get into the little places.

4. Who / What helped you when you were creating your portrait?

Miss Paton helped me with my artwork by demonstrating how to start.

5. What would you do differently next time? Think about: tracing around your face, features on your face, dabbing the dye colours, colour choice, photograph, time management skills.

I would not rush next time I would take my time and choose brighter colours.

6. What frustrated you when you created your Andy Warhol themed art work?

I was frustrated when I saw that there were still some more white patches.

Red Poppies

Jim the New Zealand soldier was calling to  somebody to help Karl the German soldier. Nipper the black fur dog arrives and Nipper bravely went back with a note and they were  waiting for a really long time. While they were waiting they were talking about their families.

Karl showed Jim a photo of his family. It was a his family “ I have 2 daughters and a wife” Karl said Jim didn’t have a photo but he said to karl “I have a sister and a mother” Jim answered. Then rescue finally came their way.

The rescue tried to put Karl on the stretcher. They carried him all the to the hospital tents to help Karl but jim had to say goodbye and Jim gave Karl a red poppy to show a symbol of friendship.

My Still Image Story.

This is the book that Room 5 was focusing on to do some kind of still images. First we had to do a freeze frame with a partner and my partner was Caitlin also our ideas from the book was meeting or being with a person named Karl. After that Caitlin  and I buddied up with Angel, Fine and also Jharda'e  to work as a group for another freeze frame because there was a part in the book where people rescues others so we got up and my group and I got into another position and then Mrs Eeles blow the whistle 5,4,3,2,1, and then we just froze.

After that my group and I came down to the mat.

Samantha's Anzac Comic Life Poster.

Hi my name is Samantha and this is my ANZAC Comic Life War Poster. I worked with my classmate partner Fine. For the whole term we have been learning about different kinds of  wars like : WW1, WW2, Treaty of Waitaingi and etc. Fine and I had to put down all sorts of information, put it onto a Comic Life Poster and decorate it. Dance with Mrs Eeles

This was my group that I worked with when we were doing dance with Mrs Eeles.

I like dance with Mrs Eeles because I like doing new things.

We had to make a place where we can sort of connect with each others and this was the pose that we did with Zeba, Maki, Jhardae, and also myself.
