 Art: Reflecting on my Painting

1. Are you pleased with your painting? why / why not?

I think that I am very pleased with my artwork because it is painted properly.

2. What did you find easy when you created your painting?

I found rubbing out the grid easy.

3. What part did you find tricky when you were creating your painting? -think about painting, ruling up the grid, measuring, using the co-ordinates, etc.

What I found tricky was measuring the grid  properly.

4. Who / What helped you when you were painting?

Miss Paton, Miss Nichol and Angel.

5. What would you do differently next time? Think about: colours, painting, ruling up, etc.

I would take my time while I am painting and I will not rush.

6. What frustrated you when you created your painting?

While I was painting I got frustrated because I didn’t paint in the lines.

This is me running away from a volcano that has erupted. When I was running away the lava caught up to me and it was really hot but I still kept on running.

A volcano is an opening in the Earth’ s surface. Did you know that the word volcano originally comes from the greek myth, The God of fire, Vulcan.

An erupting volcano can trigger tsunamis, flash floods, earthquakes, mud flows and rockfalls.Fiery mountains are places where magma has reached the surface and new rock is created. When Tectonic plates move it causes eruptions.

Mount Edgecumbe

Its English name was given by Captain James Cook on 2nd November 1769 after Sergeant Edgecombe who was the sergeant of marines on his vessel.The mountain rises to 820 m above sea level.Located 50 km east of Rotorua and three kilometres east of Kawerau.

My Holiday Story.

My Holiday Story

During the holidays my mum and I, got up to go to the Holiday programme. My mum and I woke up really early because my mum works at the holiday program so I had to go because no one stayed at home to look after me so thats why I go to the Holiday Program. When my mum and I went to the Holiday program I saw my best friend Caitlin and her sister Mya. After that some more people arrived. When they came we all went on a Green bus to the movies.

When we were almost there Catlin and I were playing sweet and sour. Sweet and Sour is a game where you have to wave at people and if they wave back your sweet, but if you wave and they don’t wave back your sour. After getting 15 waves we got there just in time and when we got in the building we saw a sign that said Planes and that will be a new movie but similar to Cars, that looked really cool. As we were walking inside the building Caitlin and I had a race to the theatre that we were going to sit in. Caitlin and I went right to the top and sat down.

Soon as Caitlin and I sat down an ad came on about a new movie Planes that I saw when I came in. When I saw that ad I wanted to tell my mum if we can watch that movie but then the movie Epic came on so then I just got my lunch out of my bag and got my Dorito Chips. After that my other friend Evelon her nan bought her some skittles so then she whispered to me “Would you like some skittles” and I said “Yes Please” so she gave me about 6 skittles so I ate them all.

After the movie finished we all went back to the Holiday Programme centre and waited till some childrens parents came and went back home

My Maths Whizz Progress

This is my Maths Whizz Progress that I did in term 2. I think that I have Improved from the beginning of the year till term 2 so far but I think that I can do better throughout the whole year
